One Dead, One Hospitalized After House Fire in Bradenton
A residential fire in Bradenton on Saturday afternoon claimed one life and left another person hospitalized with serious injuries, according to Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue.
The blaze occurred at a single-family home located at 116 53rd Avenue West. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they encountered heavy black smoke pouring from the front of the house. Five fire units responded and were able to contain the flames to the building of origin.
A female victim was located outside the home and transported to Blake Hospital as a trauma alert with burns to her face and arms. Her current condition has not been released.
Another individual was discovered deceased inside the residence. Fire investigators later determined that the cause of the fire was unintentional.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims, and the incident remains under investigation.
