Overnight Lane Closure on 9th Street West Set for Utility Work, September 17-19
Commuters in Bradenton should prepare for temporary lane closures along 9th Street West starting the evening of Tuesday, September 17th. One northbound lane between 7th Avenue West and 6th Avenue West will be closed overnight from 8 PM to 5 AM to accommodate critical utility work.
The closures are scheduled to continue nightly until the morning of Thursday, September 19th. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has approved the timing of these closures to ensure that disruptions to daytime traffic remain minimal, as most roadwork will be confined to overnight hours.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes, proceed with caution, and allow extra travel time during the scheduled lane closure periods. The City of Bradenton and utility service providers appreciate residents’ understanding and cooperation as these improvements are made to enhance local infrastructure.
The closure is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade essential utilities throughout the region. Drivers can expect normal traffic flow during the day and full access to the road by Thursday morning.
