PACE Center for Girls Manatee Gears Up for 16th Annual Duck Race Fundraiser on Riverwalk
MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Thousands of rubber ducks will take to the water at the Day Dock on Riverwalk for the 16th annual Pace Center for Girls Manatee Duck Race on April 12. The event is a key fundraiser to support the center’s mission of empowering at-risk girls through education, counseling, and advocacy.
This year, Pace Manatee has set an ambitious goal of adopting 33,000 ducks for the race. Each adopted duck represents a direct contribution to the programs that help young women overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Participants who adopt ducks have the chance to win exciting prizes, including the grand prize—a two-year lease on a JEEP Wrangler, generously donated by Firkins Automotive.
The official kickoff for the event took place Friday night at Firkins, bringing together community members, sponsors, and supporters to generate excitement for the upcoming race. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to continue adopting ducks and supporting the cause in the weeks leading up to the event.
Proceeds from the race benefit Pace Center for Girls Manatee, which provides academic programs, life skills training, and emotional support for young women in need. The organization plays a crucial role in helping girls gain confidence, stability, and the tools they need for future success.
Ducks can be adopted online or at participating sponsor locations. For more information on how to get involved, visit Lucky Ducky Race for Pace.
