Palmetto CRA to Host Community Information Event at Palmetto Library
Residents and business owners are invited to attend a free community information event hosted by the Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency on Wednesday, June 3, at the Palmetto Branch Library.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the library, located at 923 Sixth St. W. in Palmetto.
The Palmetto CRA will be joined by several community partners, including Palmetto Downtown Main Street, to share information about projects, programs and ongoing improvements happening throughout the City of Palmetto.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about residential junk abatement programs, commercial façade enhancement grants available within the CRA district, and updates on local community projects. Information regarding the city’s flood vulnerability assessment and future planning efforts will also be available.
Representatives from the Palmetto CRA, code enforcement and the Palmetto Police Department are expected to be on site to answer questions and speak with residents directly.
City officials said the event is designed to help residents stay informed, connect with local organizations and learn more about resources and redevelopment efforts aimed at strengthening the community.
