Palmetto Launches Monthly Curbside Bulk Collection Program Beginning June 1
Residents in the City of Palmetto will soon have access to a new Monthly Curbside Bulk Collection Program designed to make the disposal of large household items more convenient.
The program is scheduled to begin June 1, 2026, and will allow households to place up to four bulk items at the curb each month for collection.
Under the new schedule, residents in Zone 1 on the south side of the city will have collection on the first Thursday of each month, while residents in Zone 2 on the north side will have collection on the first Friday of each month.
City officials said items must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses and other large household items. Yard waste and bagged household garbage will not be accepted as part of the bulk collection program.
The city released a zone map to help residents determine their collection area and encouraged residents to stay tuned for additional program details ahead of the June launch.
