Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa to Light Up the Holidays with Second Annual Tree Lighting Event
The City of Palmetto is set to welcome the holiday season with sparkle, music, and festive cheer as the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa hosts its Second Annual Tree Lighting Celebration ON 11/28 (this Friday!). The event, taking place at The Yard, promises an evening full of entertainment, family fun, and a surprise visit from Santa Claus.
Mayor Dan West will officially light the holiday tree, marking the start of the season for the community. This year’s celebration features a series of exciting performances, including a Nutcracker performance by the Major Production Studio of Dance, live holiday music by Lauren Taylor Nock, and special appearances by beloved characters such as the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
A highlight of the evening will be Santa’s unexpected grand entrance, adding a touch of magic for children and adults alike. Guests can also enjoy a Christmas Market, festive treats, hot cocoa, and family-friendly activities including photo opportunities with Santa and a “Tell-an-Elf” activity.

Admission is free, and the community is welcome to join in the holiday festivities.
