Palmetto Police Search Area Near High School as Part of Ongoing Investigation

The Palmetto Police Department issued a community notice advising residents about increased police activity in fields and wooded areas east of Palmetto High School.

Investigators are searching nearby ditches and ponds for possible evidence believed to have been discarded in connection with an ongoing investigation. Authorities said the activity may appear unusual to residents and motorists in the area, but officials emphasized there is no danger to the community.
