Palmetto Police Search for Missing and Endangered 81-Year-Old Man
The Palmetto Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an 81-year-old missing and endangered man who was last seen Tuesday afternoon at a Palmetto assisted living facility.
George Fyke was last seen at approximately 2:55 p.m. at Manatee River Assisted Living, located at 820 Fifth Street West. Authorities said Fyke suffers from irreversible deterioration of mental faculties, raising concerns for his safety.
According to police, Fyke is 6 feet tall, weighs about 176 pounds, and has silver hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt and navy-colored shorts. Investigators do not know which direction he traveled after leaving the facility, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
