Palmetto Secures More Than $5 Million in State Funding for Infrastructure Projects
The City of Palmetto has secured more than $5 million in state funding for several infrastructure projects aimed at improving resiliency, transportation and community amenities.
The funding will support sanitary sewer resiliency projects and pipe lining improvements, helping the city strengthen and maintain critical utility infrastructure.
State dollars will also go toward the development of the new Patriot Park and the 10th Avenue West Complete Streets Project. Complete Streets projects are generally designed to improve roadways while considering the needs of motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and other users.
City officials said the investments will help strengthen Palmetto’s infrastructure and prepare the community for the years ahead.
The city credited Gov. Ron DeSantis, state Sen. Jim Boyd and state Rep. Will Robinson for their support in securing funding for the projects.
