Parrish Civic Association Invites Residents to Help Shape Community’s Future

Residents will have an opportunity to share their ideas about the future of Parrish during a community discussion hosted by the Parrish Civic Association on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

The association is inviting residents to attend its next meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Parrish High School, 7505 Fort Hamer Road.

The Parrish Civic Association is currently working on several community projects, including plans for a community garden, a community center and beautification efforts. Association leaders are seeking feedback to determine whether those projects reflect residents’ priorities and to learn what other improvements the community would like to see.

The discussion is intended to give residents a direct opportunity to share their thoughts about Parrish as the area continues to grow. Topics may include amenities, community spaces, safety, quality of life and other needs residents believe should be addressed.

Organizers said the goal is to help make Parrish a community where families and residents feel safe and want to remain for years to come.

The community discussion comes as the Parrish Civic Association continues its efforts to gather support and public input for projects aimed at serving the rapidly growing Parrish area.

The meeting is open to residents who want to participate and provide feedback.
