Parrish Civic Association Launches Veterans Day “Buy a Brick” Campaign
The Parrish Civic Association is inviting community members to honor veterans, active military personnel and loved ones through a new commemorative brick campaign at Parrish Community Park.
The “Buy a Brick” initiative allows residents to purchase engraved bricks that will be permanently installed at the park ahead of the Veterans Day celebration scheduled for Nov. 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parrish Community Park, located at 7550 Fort Hamer Road in Parrish.
Organizers say all brick orders must be submitted by Sept. 9 to allow enough time for engraving and coordination with Manatee County Government for installation before the event.
The Veterans Day celebration is expected to include ceremonies, food trucks and a parade honoring those who have served in the military.
According to the Parrish Civic Association, proceeds from the fundraiser will support efforts to promote Parrish, preserve local history and fund beautification projects throughout the Village of Parrish.
The campaign offers several commemorative options. Veterans and active military personnel can be honored with 8-inch by 8-inch engraved bricks that will be placed near the flagpole entrance to the park. Additional 4-inch by 8-inch bricks are available to recognize loved ones, firefighters, EMS personnel, police officers, doctors, nurses and local businesses. Those bricks will be installed near the stage area.
Replica engraved leather coasters are also available for purchase as keepsakes, matching the brick engravings.
The Parrish Civic Association says the project is intended to create a lasting tribute within the community while helping preserve the heritage and spirit of Parrish for future generations.
