Parrish Community Park Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Set for March 7
The long-awaited Parrish Community Park is opening Friday, March 7!
Residents are invited to share in the excitement of this community amenity located at 7550 Fort Hamer Rd. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 5 p.m., followed by an evening of family fun!
“We are excited to welcome our neighbors to this wonderful park,” said District 1 Commissioner Carol Ann Felts. “This is a great place to come together as a community.”
With its inclusive design and thoughtful amenities, the park aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for families to gather, play, and relax. The park includes a boardwalk, fitness stations, playgrounds, picnic shelters, a splash pad, and other features.
A 120' by 120' shade structure and event lawn will host festivals, plays and local musicians. In fact, the grand-opening will coincide with the kickoff of the 2025 Manatee Music Series – featuring free shows by local artists at the Parrish amphitheater as well at the GT Bray amphitheater through mid-May. The Rye Road Band (presented by Blue Collar Roofing), will begin their performance at 6 p.m.
