PCHS Lady Bulls Rally From 12-Stroke Deficit to Claim State Title in Dramatic Comeback
In a stunning display of grit and determination, the Parrish Community High School Lady Bulls golf team captured the state championship after overcoming a 12-stroke deficit following day one to win by two strokes.
Entering the final round trailing significantly, the Lady Bulls refused to let the gap dictate their destiny. They stayed composed, executed under pressure, and chipped away at the lead until they emerged victorious. The triumphant finish marks a milestone for the program.
Coach Erin Lisch and her squad spent the season building toward this moment. Earlier in the year, the team set its sights clearly on taking home the state crown. A bulletin published by the school noted, “This year our goal is not only go to state but win the whole thing. We placed third last year and that has fueled us to bring home a title to Parrish.”
As the team celebrated, Parish Community High School joined the ranks of elite state champions, the Lady Bulls’ victory serving as an inspiration for future seasons and a crowning achievement for the athletes, coaches, and the school community.
