Pedestrian Fatally Struck by SUV on U.S. 41 in Bradenton

Bradenton, FL — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by an SUV on U.S. 41 in Manatee County on Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. north of 69th Avenue West in Bradenton. Authorities reported that a 63-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, was crossing the roadway from west to east when he was struck by an SUV traveling in the middle southbound lane.

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The SUV driver, a 33-year-old Bradenton resident, was unharmed in the collision.

Officials continued their investigation into the crash on Sunday. Further details have not been released at this time.
