Planned Water Shutoff Scheduled Friday for Palma Sola Area Hydrant Installation
Residents in parts of the Palma Sola area will experience a temporary water service interruption on Friday, April 17, as Manatee County Utilities completes a fire hydrant installation project.
According to a county-issued notice, the planned outage will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is necessary to complete a water system tie-in associated with the new hydrant.
The affected areas include:
1600–1820 Palma Sola Boulevard
8005–8201 17th Avenue West
1703–1811 80th Street Court West
1619–1717 Gasparilla Road
7800–8016 18th Avenue West
7703–8112 19th Avenue Drive West
7804–8013 20th Place West
County officials indicated that customers in these locations should plan accordingly for the temporary loss of water service during the scheduled hours.
The notice states that a boil water advisory will not be required once service is restored. Officials did not specify how many customers would be impacted by the outage.
