Police Investigate Suspect Seen Peering Into Windows at Palmetto Mobile Home Park
Police are investigating after a man was captured on video peering into windows and exposing himself at a mobile home community in Palmetto.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 22 at the Palmetto Mobile Home Club, where residents reported unusual activity overnight. According to investigators, a couple reviewing their home security footage discovered a man outside their property multiple times between approximately 2:30 and 3 a.m.
Residents said their camera system sent numerous alerts overnight. When they reviewed the footage, they saw a man outside the home with his pants down. The video also appeared to show the individual looking through the windows of a neighboring residence.
The couple alerted their neighbor after noticing the suspicious activity on the camera recordings. The neighbor had been unaware that someone had been outside the home overnight.
Palmetto Police Department officials said the suspect has not yet been identified. Investigators have canvassed the area and are seeking additional video footage that could help identify the individual seen on camera.
Authorities also expressed concern that the activity captured on the video may not represent the full extent of the suspect’s actions. Police said it is unclear how many homes the individual may have approached before being recorded by the camera.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who recognizes the individual or has additional information to contact the Palmetto Police Department.
