Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued for 8th Avenue East Between 11th and 12th Streets
The City of Bradenton has issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents and tenants located on 8th Avenue East from 11th Street East to 12th Street East, following a water main break that resulted in a temporary loss of water service and pressure in the area.
The break in the main line raises concerns about the potential for contamination in the water supply. As a safety measure, residents in the affected zone are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may be used as an alternative during this time.
City crews are actively working on repairs and have initiated water quality testing, which will be conducted over the next 48 hours. The boil water notice will remain in effect until test results confirm that the water is safe to drink.
