Presidents’ Day Closings & Schedule Changes

Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, February 16, to commemorate Presidents’ Day.

All trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week of February 16 will be postponed one day, from Tuesday through Saturday, for residents in unincorporated Manatee County. Regular collection days resume Monday, Feb. 23.

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT), the Anna Maria Island Trolley and Handy Bus will operate as normal.

Manatee County Public Library System branches will be closed for Presidents’ Day but will reopen Tuesday, February 17, with normal hours.

Manatee County Parks and Beaches and natural preserves will be open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will also be open.

GT Bray and John Marble Recreation Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a modified group fitness schedule. The Walton Center Building at GT Bray will be closed, so all racquet center patrons should enter though the main entrance.
