Public Input Open for $252 Million Disaster Recovery Plan in Manatee County
Manatee County has released the Draft Action Plan for its $252,711,000 Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding, opening a 30-day public comment period from May 21 to June 20, 2025.
The funding, intended to support long-term disaster recovery efforts throughout the county, is a crucial part of rebuilding and strengthening communities affected by recent hurricanes and severe weather events. The Draft Action Plan outlines proposed strategies and allocations for housing, infrastructure, and economic revitalization projects.
Residents, community leaders, and stakeholders are encouraged to review the plan and provide feedback before it is finalized and submitted for federal approval.
