Publix Super Markets Charities Donates $150,000 to Support Habitat Home Construction at King’s Cross Place
Manatee County Habitat for Humanity announced a generous $150,000 donation from Publix Super Markets Charities to support the construction of a new home in the King’s Cross Place neighborhood. The contribution, part of a long-standing partnership dating back to 2005, will cover the majority of the costs of one Habitat home, bringing the organization closer to its mission of expanding access to safe, stable, and affordable housing for local families.
King’s Cross Place is one of the newest developments aimed at strengthening communities through homeownership, and the funding from Publix Super Markets Charities will play a pivotal role in making this vision a reality. Over the years, Publix’s support has extended beyond financial gifts, with Publix associates volunteering on build sites and contributing in-kind donations that help Habitat deliver more services and community events.
Bernie Quinn, CEO of Manatee County Habitat for Humanity, expressed gratitude for the continued support, noting that the partnership aligns with the organization’s broader mission to build homes, communities, and hope. With this latest donation, Habitat for Humanity is poised to continue its work empowering families through homeownership, ultimately strengthening neighborhoods throughout Manatee County.
