Rick Hendrick Honda Opens East of Bradenton, Adds 75 Jobs
A new Honda dealership has opened east of Bradenton, bringing 75 jobs to the area. Rick Hendrick Honda is located at 5904 State Road 64 East and represents continued investment in the region’s growing automotive market.
The opening marks the second Honda franchise in Bradenton for Hendrick Automotive Group, which has operated Hendrick Honda Bradenton at 5515 14th Street West since 1988. The two dealerships are separated by just over nine miles.
The newly opened facility spans 56,000 square feet and features more than 300 new and pre-owned vehicles on-site. Company representatives say increasing residential and commercial growth east of Bradenton, along with a rising number of Honda service customers in that area, drove the decision to expand further inland. The new location offers improved access to major roadways, expanded parking, and a larger service footprint, aligning with the presence of other auto manufacturers that have recently established nearby dealerships.
The site includes a service center with 31 bays equipped with updated tools, technology, and diagnostic systems for Honda-certified technicians. Customers have access to a lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi and refreshments, as well as loaner vehicles and shuttle services. Company leadership says the dealership was designed to reduce wait times, increase same-day repairs, and deliver a more customer-focused experience.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hendrick Automotive Group is the largest privately held automotive retail organization in the United States. The company operates 96 dealerships nationwide, including six in Florida, along with 21 collision centers and four accessory distributor installers across 13 states. Founder Rick Hendrick also owns Hendrick Motorsports, which fields teams in the NASCAR Cup Series.
