Rossi Park to Temporarily Close for Shade Structure Installation
Bradenton’s Rossi Park will temporarily close from May 18 through June 25 as the city installs new sunshade structures aimed at improving comfort for visitors during warmer months.
The temporary closure will affect the splash pad, pavilion and restroom area, along with lawn space inside the park located at 452 Third Ave. W. Construction crews will be working throughout the park during the improvement project.
City officials said the two playgrounds adjacent to Rossi Park will remain open and accessible from the Riverwalk during construction.
The splash pad is a popular destination for families during late spring and summer, and officials acknowledged the timing may impact visitors. However, the upgrades are expected to provide additional shade and create a more comfortable environment for parkgoers once construction is complete.
The project is scheduled to conclude by June 25, weather permitting.
