Run Manatee 5K Series Kicks Off April 11 at Tom Bennett Park

Runners and walkers across Manatee County are gearing up for the launch of the Run Manatee 5K series, with the first race scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at Tom Bennett Park.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. In addition to the traditional 5K, the event will feature a quarter-mile Fun Run, making it accessible for families and younger participants.

Attendees can expect more than just a race, with wellness and food vendors on-site along with music from a live DJ, creating a festive and community-focused atmosphere. The event also supports a meaningful cause, with 10 percent of proceeds benefiting local youth nonprofit organizations.

Participants who register will receive a race-day T-shirt and a finisher medal as part of the 2026 series. Organizers encourage individuals, families, and groups of friends to take part, whether running competitively or simply enjoying the experience together.
