Safety Jam Brings Free Health and Traffic Safety Expo to Bradenton
A free, family-friendly Health and Traffic Safety Expo, Safety Jam, will take place Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the State College of Florida Bradenton Campus, offering hands-on learning, entertainment, and community engagement focused on safety awareness.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus located at 5840 26th Street West in Bradenton and is open to the public with free admission and parking. Safety Jam is presented by the Florida Department of Transportation, the State College of Florida, and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Designed for all ages, the expo will feature interactive stations highlighting health and traffic safety topics, along with food trucks, mascots, and live music. Attendees can expect engaging demonstrations and activities that educate families while keeping the experience fun and accessible.
Organizers say the event’s goal is to encourage community members to learn, play, and stay safe through interactive experiences and direct engagement with safety professionals. Additional information about Safety Jam is available by scanning the QR code on event materials or by contacting Edie Rosenthal at the Florida Department of Transportation.
Safety Jam is part of a broader effort to promote safety awareness across Manatee County through education, outreach, and community partnerships.
