Sandbag Collection Begins December 1 Across Manatee County

Manatee County residents who no longer wish to store their storm-preparation sandbags will have an opportunity to drop them off at designated collection points from December 1 through December 15, 2025. The county is accepting intact sandbags at the same locations where self-service distribution previously took place.

Sandbags may be dropped off at the following sites:

• Rye Preserve

• Rubonia Community Center

• Myakka Community Park

• Blackstone Park

• Parrish Park

• Palma Sola Park

• Stormwater Facility

Residents can drive up to the designated pallets at each location and place their usable sandbags for collection. County officials ask that only intact bags be returned and that no trash, debris, or damaged bags be left at the sites.
