Sangarita Showdown Returns to Palmetto with Flavors, Fun, and Family Support
A night of bold flavors and meaningful impact is on the horizon as Parenting Matters hosts the 9th Annual Sangarita Showdown on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Manatee County Fairgrounds’ Veterans Hall.
The community-favorite tasting competition brings together some of the Suncoast’s top restaurants and bars for head-to-head battles in three categories: Best Sangria, Best Margarita, and Best Small Bite. Guests will sample, savor, and then cast their votes to help crown the People’s Choice winners.
Proceeds benefit Parenting Matters, a Manatee County–based nonprofit that has been working to strengthen families and prevent child abuse since 1994. With a mission rooted in early intervention and education, the organization provides parenting workshops, in-home support, and bilingual resources to families across Manatee and Sarasota counties — all at little or no cost.
Event Growth and Impact
Since its debut in 2016, the Sangarita Showdown has grown from a small local fundraiser to one of the region’s signature charity tasting events. Past competitions have featured more than 20 vendors and drawn hundreds of attendees, raising vital funds that directly support Parenting Matters’ programs.
