SBA Extends Disaster Loan Application Deadline by 60 Days
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has extended the deadline for its low-interest disaster loan program by 60 days, giving residents, businesses, and private nonprofit organizations more time to apply for financial assistance. The new deadline for Physical Damage Disaster Loan applications is now March 8, 2025, replacing the original cutoff date of January 7, 2025.
The SBA's disaster loans are designed to help individuals and organizations recover from physical damages caused by qualifying disasters. The loans offer low interest rates and flexible repayment terms to repair or replace damaged property, inventory, equipment, and other essential assets.
Applications can be submitted online via the SBA's lending portal at https://lending.sba.gov. The extension does not require applicants to provide a reason for submitting their applications after the initial January deadline, making it easier for those still navigating recovery efforts to access the program.
