SCF Announces Summer Camps Focused on STEM, Media, Culinary Arts and Cybersecurity
The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota is preparing to launch a new series of summer camps for children and teens across its Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Venice campuses from June 1-4, 2026.
The camps are designed for students ages 4-17 and focus on hands-on learning experiences in STEM, media, music, design, culinary arts and technology. Programs will allow students to explore creative problem-solving, storytelling, engineering, food science and cybersecurity through interactive activities.
At the SCF Bradenton campus, elementary school students can participate in “Oh the Places We Go: Designing Experiences People Enjoy,” where campers will create imaginative parks and spaces while learning STEAM design concepts. Another Bradenton offering, “Pineapple Kitchen Kids: Culinary and Restaurant Essentials,” gives children ages 7-13 opportunities to build kitchen confidence through cooking, food safety and restaurant role-play activities.
The SCF Lakewood Ranch campus will feature “Media Makers Studio: Create, Film, and Share,” where elementary students will learn storytelling, filming and editing while producing videos, podcasts and digital content. Culinary-focused camps will also be available at the campus.
In Venice, campers can participate in “Food Science Lab: The Science Behind What We Eat,” which introduces chemistry concepts through food science projects, edible experiments and solar cooking activities. Middle and high school students can also attend “Cyber Defenders: Protecting the Digital Factory,” a cybersecurity camp focused on digital threats and technology protection systems.
Most camps run Monday through Thursday with pricing ranging from $299 to $425 depending on the program. Registration is currently open through SCF’s summer camp portal.
