Luke Scherrer drove in three of the four runs during the Bradenton Marauders (24-38, 55-72) 4-1 season finale victory over the Lakeland Flying Tigers (33-30, 64-64) on Sunday from LECOM Park. Chris Rembert tagged two hits, and Bradenton finished the season with a 55-72 record.
After Jordan Yost homered in the first, the Marauders responded in the bottom of the third. Mike Jarvis singled, moved to second on a fielding error, and scored on a base hit by Scherrer.
In the bottom of the eighth, Rembert singled, while Jarvis and Tre Phelps worked back-to-back walks to load the bases. A base hit by Scherrer plated Rembert and Jarvis to make it a 3-1 ballgame. Phelps scored on a passed ball, increasing the lead 4-1.
Victor Trejo closed it down in the ninth, finalizing a 4-1 win for the Marauders.
The Marauders return to LECOM Park in 2027 for a three-game series against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels set for April 2.
