Second Annual Chili Cook-Off At Bat City Comic Professionals
Community Comes Together for Chili Con Comics with Games, Chili Cook-off, and Fun!
Bat City Comic Professionals invites the community to join them for their Second Annual Chili Con Comics Chili Cook-Off and Family Fun Day. The FREE event takes place on Saturday, November 15 from 12PM to 4PM at Bat City Comic Professionals (915 Manatee Ave E Bradenton, FL), and will include a chance to try competitor’s chili entries, carnival-style games, crafts, and more fun for the whole family!
“Last year’s Chili Cook Off was so much fun we knew we had to do it again,” said Shannon Live, President at Bat City Comics. “We love seeing members of our community come together to create a fun event. With games, crafts, and of course, delicious chili, Chili Con Comics has become one of my favorite days of the year to gather with neighborhood friends and celebrate the Fall season.”
Attendees have even more chances to be part of the fun with the Fan Favorite Award. Tasters can purchase as many tickets as they want to cast their vote for who they want to see win the cook-off. Each ticket also counts as an entry into a random chance drawing filled with various prizes. Proceeds from drawing ticket sales go to fund Bat City’s non-profit mission to help teach reading, writing, and imagination skills to kids and teens in our community. Attendees who bring either a canned food donation or a new, unwrapped toy for Toys 4 Tots will also receive one extra entry ticket.
“When we started the chili cook-off event last year, it was meant to help us feed and entertain our community after the destruction so many suffered from Hurricanes Helene and Milton,” Live said. “We wanted to find a way to continue to help our community this year, so we created a couple of different ways people can donate. Our community is so great at continuously supporting each other, and we love finding new ways to help connect them in moments like these.”
