SHIP Housing Rehabilitation and Replacement Funding Available to Manatee County Homeowners
Low- and very-low-income homeowners in Manatee County have a limited-time opportunity to apply for assistance through the SHIP Housing Rehabilitation and Replacement Program, with applications open now through January 9, 2026.
The program offers a 0% interest, deferred-payment loan with a 20-year term to help eligible residents make required code-related repairs to their single-family homes or to replace dilapidated housing structures that no longer meet safety standards. The goal is to correct substandard housing conditions while improving residents' health, safety, and overall quality of life.
Funding may be used for necessary structural, electrical, plumbing, roofing, or other code-compliance repairs, as well as complete replacement of homes that are no longer suitable for rehabilitation. The program is specifically designed to support households with special needs and those with limited financial resources.
Entry forms are available online at mymanatee.org under the Housing Rehabilitation/Replacement Program section. Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
Residents who need assistance completing or submitting the online entry form can call 941-749-3030. Early submission is encouraged, as funding is limited and eligibility requirements apply.
