Short Film Highlighting Manatee Philanthropy Selected for Sarasota Film Festival
A locally produced short film celebrating the legacy of philanthropy in Manatee County has been officially selected for the Sarasota Film Festival, bringing regional stories of generosity and community impact to a broader audience.
The film, Echoes of Generosity, explores the lives and lasting contributions of Ned and Patty Bishop and Mary Parker, focusing on how their philanthropic efforts have shaped opportunities and strengthened the community over time. The film will be screened on Saturday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Conference Center at Sarasota Technical College, located at 4748 South Beneva Road. Admission to the screening is free, though tickets are required for entry.
