Silver Alert Issued for Missing Palmetto Man With Dementia
A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 78-year-old Palmetto man who authorities say may be disoriented due to dementia.
Henry Harper was last known to be driving home to the 1000 block of 72nd Street Court East in Palmetto at about 10 p.m. on June 12. According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Harper was traveling in a gray 2018 Hyundai bearing Florida tag 22EJDN but never arrived at his destination.
Investigators reported that Harper’s vehicle was spotted in Hernando County earlier Saturday, raising concerns about his whereabouts and safety.
Harper is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, dark gray sweatpants and silver Nike shoes.
Authorities said Harper suffers from dementia and is likely disoriented.
