The SOAR Lab is collecting school supplies to help Manatee County students begin the January semester prepared and ready to learn.
The School Readiness Hero supply drive will benefit Hope 4 Communities, a local nonprofit that supports students and families experiencing homelessness and other hardships by providing essential resources and assistance to help children succeed in school.
Community members are encouraged to donate school supplies at the SOAR Lab, located at 6413 9th St. E. in Bradenton. Donations will be distributed to Hope 4 Communities students in January, helping ensure they have the materials needed for a successful start to the new semester.
As an added incentive, children who make a donation at the SOAR Lab will receive a special 3D-printed keepsake as a thank-you for their generosity.
The initiative brings together SOAR in 4, the School District of Manatee County and Hope 4 Communities to support local students and promote school readiness.
Residents interested in contributing can scan the QR code on the event flyer to view the list of needed supplies and learn more about the donation drive.
Organizers hope the community-wide effort will help remove barriers to learning while giving students the confidence and resources they need to succeed in the classroom.
