South Coquina Boat Ramp Temporarily Closed for Emergency Repairs
Manatee County officials have announced the temporary closure of the South Coquina Boat Ramp in Bradenton Beach for emergency repairs. The closure, scheduled for October 28 through October 30, follows the discovery of damage below the waterline during a recent inspection.
The ramp at 1465 Gulf Drive South will remain closed while crews complete the necessary underwater repairs to ensure safe use. County staff say the work will be expedited to minimize disruption to local boaters and visitors.
During the closure, boaters are encouraged to use the nearby Captain Scott Moore Boat Ramp, located just north at 1507 Gulf Drive South, as an alternative launch site.
Officials said the South Coquina Boat Ramp will reopen as soon as the repairs are complete. The county thanked residents and visitors for their patience and understanding while the work is underway.
