Southbound 14th Street West Closed Due to Road Depression Near 17th Avenue
Bradenton’s Public Works Department has closed the southbound lanes of 14th Street West near 17th Avenue West following the discovery of a large depression in the roadway.
The closure was issued around 8 a.m. as crews assessed the damage and began preparing for excavation to determine the underlying cause. Officials have not provided an estimated timeline for when repairs will be completed or when the road will reopen.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. While only the southbound lanes are currently closed, northbound lane closures are also possible as repair work progresses.
