Stillpoint Mission awarded $13,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support Food Program serving Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto counties.
Stillpoint Mission of Bradenton was awarded a $13,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support its Food Program. Funding for the grant came from the Community Foundation’s Community Impact Fund.
The Food Assistance Program distributes bread, cereal, canned foods, pasta, rice, beans, cooking oil, fresh produce and, when available, frozen meats, as part of its weekly outreach in the community. In 2025, Stillpoint distributed over 433,000 lbs. (216 tons) of food to the needy in the local community.
Since 1998, Stillpoint Mission has offered weekly outreach to the disadvantaged in the local community providing basic daily needs including food, clothing, diapers, hygiene products and limited financial assistance for utility bills. Stillpoint is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff. Stillpoint receives no federal, state or local government funding. There are no conditions placed on those receiving assistance.
