Stillpoint Mission awarded $16,211 grant from the Catholic Community Foundation of SW Florida for its Benevolent Program for Food and Financial Assistance
Stillpoint Mission of Bradenton was awarded a $16,211 grant from the Catholic Community Foundation of SW Florida to support its Benevolent Program for Food and Financial Assistance for Utility Bills. Funding for the grant came from the Fund for the Care of the Migrant Poor.
The Food Assistance Program distributes bread, cereal, canned foods, pasta, rice, beans, cooking oil, fresh produce and, when available, frozen meats, as part of its weekly outreach in the community. In 2025, Stillpoint distributed over 433,000 lbs. (216 tons) of food to the needy in the local community. The Financial Assistance Program assists clients once per quarter with a payment of $80 direct to their utility. In 2025, Stillpoint provided over $211,000 in utility bill assistance to 2,648 clients.
Since 1998, Stillpoint Mission has offered weekly outreach to the disadvantaged in the local community providing basic daily needs including food, clothing, diapers, hygiene products and limited financial assistance for utility bills. Stillpoint is a non-denominational, 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff. Stillpoint receives no federal, state or local government funding.
