Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive Set for July 24 at Bradenton Walmart
Community members are invited to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year by donating school supplies during the Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive on Friday, July 24.
The event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. at Walmart, located at 5810 Ranch Lake Blvd. in Bradenton. Volunteers will collect new school supplies to support students and families throughout the community as they get ready to return to the classroom.
Organized in partnership with The Salvation Army, the drive aims to ensure children have the essential supplies they need to begin the school year equipped for success. Donations may also be dropped off at The Salvation Army, 1204 14th St. W. in Bradenton.
The organization is seeking a wide variety of classroom essentials, including backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, markers, composition books, binders, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, tissues, hand sanitizer, loose-leaf paper, construction paper, flash cards, dry-erase markers, calculators, planners, pocket folders, Post-it notes, printer paper, paint sets, pencil sharpeners, tape, thumb drives, and other common school supplies.
Those who prefer to contribute online can make a monetary donation through The Salvation Army’s fundraising campaign or purchase items directly from the organization’s Walmart registry for delivery to the school supply drive.
Organizers encourage residents to participate by donating supplies or shopping online to help students throughout the community start the new school year confident, prepared and ready to learn.
