Suspect Arrested After Two People Shot Outside Bradenton Home Early Sunday
Two people were injured in a shooting outside a home in a Bradenton neighborhood early Sunday, and a suspect is now in custody, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2:15 a.m. Dec. 7 to the 3100 block of 11th Street Court East after receiving a report of a shooting. At the scene, they found a 32-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the face and a 41-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.
The woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. The man’s injury was determined to be minor, and he has since been released. The shooter had fled before deputies arrived.
Investigators identified the suspected gunman as 26-year-old Exzavion Richardson. He was located a few blocks away in a vehicle and taken into custody.
Witnesses told deputies that Richardson arrived at the home looking for someone he claimed owed him money. During an altercation, he allegedly shot the male victim before shooting the woman who was standing nearby.
Richardson faces charges of two counts of attempted murder, home invasion robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The investigation remains active.
