SUV Crashes Into Two Palmetto Buildings; 19-Year-Old Faces DUI Charges
PALMETTO, Fla. — A Bradenton teenager is facing multiple charges after crashing her SUV into two buildings along 8th Avenue West early Friday morning.
The crash occurred just before 2:30 a.m. when a Jeep Cherokee traveling northbound left the roadway and struck two structures, according to the Palmetto Police Department. The vehicle reportedly tore through a wall, entered a patio area, and exited on the other side—coming to rest with a support column on top of the SUV.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Emma Kinkle of Bradenton, was the sole occupant and was not injured in the crash. She was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence, with property damage, and possession of a false or forged driver’s license or identification.
No other injuries were reported, but the collision caused significant structural damage. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
