The City of Palmetto Commission Meetings to Begin Earlier Starting in July

Residents who attend Palmetto City Commission meetings will need to adjust their schedules beginning in July 2026, as the city is moving the start time for its regular commission meetings to 6:15 p.m.

The change shifts the regular meeting start time 45 minutes earlier from its previous 7 p.m. schedule. City officials announced that only the regular meeting start time is changing, while other aspects of the commission meeting schedule will remain the same.

Commission workshops will continue to begin at 4:30 p.m., and meetings will still be held on Mondays.

The adjustment is intended to streamline the evening schedule while maintaining opportunities for public participation and discussion of city business.

The updated schedule takes effect with meetings beginning in July 2026.
