The Pops Orchestra Announces the Return of Sundays@Neel Concert Series
Bradenton, FL – The Pops Orchestra is bringing audiences more of the music they love with the return of the popular Sundays@Neel concert series. Audiences that love the fun and energetic Pops concerts will enjoy this series of performances from past and future Pops Orchestra guest artists, as these groups provide solo performances at the highest entertaining quality.
This season’s lineup of three outstanding groups highlights an exciting variety of styles—from dazzling brass and timeless swing to the beloved songs of John Denver.
Concert Lineup:
Sunday, November 16, 2025 3:00 p.m. – “Struttin’ with the Stiletto Brass”
Struttin’ their top-level brass chops in red stilettos, these five women of The Stiletto Brass are bringing a jazzy, casual, and thrilling program for all to enjoy. Hailing from all over the United States, including Indiana, Texas, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, the members of the Stiletto Brass combine their talents every year for an astounding tour de force. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind show, and don’t forget to wear red shoes!Sunday, February 1 2026, 3:00 p.m. – “Essentially Ellington with Vince DiMartino”
The Footnote Jazz Sextet features Vince DiMartino, one of the most highly sought-after trumpet performers and educators who has performed with Lionel Hampton and the Boston Pops, among others; Pete Barenbregge, former director of the renowned Air Force Airmen of Note; David Pruyn, leader of The Fabulous Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra; and Greg Nielsen, trombonist with the Four Tops and Cab Calloway. Together, they will light up the stage with Duke Ellington standards and more. A jazz show note to be missed!Sunday, March 29, 3:00 p.m. – “Coming Home: A Tribute to John Denver”
Tom Becker, former member of the legendary folk group, The New Christy Minstrels, effortlessly embodies the warmth and humor of one of America’s best-loved songwriters. From the foot-stomping fun of “Thank God, I’m a Country Boy,” to the tenderness of “Annie’s Song,” to the sweeping grandeur of “Rocky Mountain High,” Tom and his band take you on a musical journey into the many facets of John Denver’s songwriting, the songs that defined his life, and his passion preserving the environment.
