“The Prince of Egypt: The Musical” Takes the Stage at Manatee Performing Arts Center This August
BRADENTON — The Manatee Performing Arts Center will bring one of the most epic biblical stories to life this August with its mainstage production of The Prince of Egypt: The Musical. Based on the DreamWorks animated film and created by the team behind Wicked, the show runs from August 21 through August 31 in Stone Hall.
The production traces the journey of Moses, who was raised as an Egyptian prince, and later discovers his heritage to lead the Hebrew people to freedom. Featuring a powerful score that includes the Academy Award-winning song “When You Believe,” the musical offers a theatrical experience rich in emotion, spectacle, and a message of hope.
Performances are scheduled nightly at 7:30 p.m., with matinee shows at 2:00 p.m. on August 24, 30, and 31. The production features a talented cast of local performers and is presented under special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
