Bradenton, FL — The Salvation Army of Manatee County is proud to announce the grand opening and dedication of its new Dann Bouwer Community Pavilion, a vibrant, family-friendly recreational space designed to serve residents of all ages. The organization warmly invites all media outlets and the public to attend the official ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 1:30 PM.
The ceremony will take place at:
5328 24th Street East, Bradenton, FL 34203
Named in honor of longtime supporter Dann Bouwer, the new pavilion will serve as a multi-use community space and will be open daily for public enjoyment. The structure features:
• Basketball court access
• Pickleball court space
• Picnic tables for families and community gatherings
This project represents a significant investment in the well-being of local families, creating a safe, accessible, and welcoming area where the community can gather, play, and connect.
“We are incredibly excited to open the Dann Bouwer Community Pavilion to the people of Manatee County,” said Deral Pitts, Director of Community Relations & Development. “This space was built with the community in mind—giving children a place to play, families a place to gather, and neighbors a place to grow together. We welcome everyone to join us as we celebrate this milestone.”
“There is no reward equal to that of doing the most good to the most people in the most need.”
Media in attendance will have opportunities for interviews, photos, and footage of the pavilion and dedication ceremony.
The Salvation Army encourages residents, supporters, partner organizations, and local leaders to come celebrate this important addition to the East Manatee campus.
