The Salvation Army of Manatee County Calls for Volunteers to Help Bring Christmas Joy to 1,461 Local Children
As the holiday season approaches, The Salvation Army of Manatee County is preparing for one of its largest and most impactful community efforts of the year: the Angel Tree Christmas Toy Shop. This year, the program will serve 1,461 children from 725 families, and volunteers are urgently needed to help ensure every one of them experiences the joy and dignity of Christmas.
“This is one of the most meaningful projects we take on each year,” said Deral Pitts, Director of Community Relations & Development, “and with the incredible size of this year’s need, your hands and hearts can make all the difference.”
The Salvation Army is inviting individuals, families, businesses, civic clubs, church groups, and high school or college students to volunteer and be part of this mission of hope. Students under 18 are welcome with a parent, guardian, or approved chaperone, making this an ideal opportunity for school groups and service clubs.
