Three Years Later: Bradenton Police Renew Call for Information in Unsolved Killing of Dwight Sutton Sr.
Bradenton authorities are urging the public to come forward with information as the third anniversary of the unsolved murder of Dwight Sutton Sr. is observed.
Sutton, 56, was killed in what investigators describe as a targeted attack around 7 p.m. on March 19, 2023. He was shot multiple times in front of a residence in the 700 block of 17th Street Court East. Despite ongoing investigative efforts, no arrests have been made in the case.
Detectives believe that individuals within the community may have key information that could help identify those responsible. Law enforcement officials emphasize that even small details could prove critical in advancing the investigation.
To encourage tips, Crime Stoppers of Manatee County is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest. An additional $5,000 reward has been pledged by the Manatee Gold Star Club, bringing the total potential reward to $8,000.
Authorities are reminding the public that tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Individuals may also contact Detective Brian Sands directly via email.
As the case reaches its third year without resolution, investigators continue to seek justice for Sutton and his family, urging anyone with information to step forward.
