Tiger Bay Club to Host Manatee County Commission Candidate Forum for Districts 1 and 2
The Manatee Tiger Bay Club will host a County Commissioner Candidate Forum for Districts 1 and 2 on Thursday, June 25, at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, providing voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking election to the Manatee County Commission.
Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the forum will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is intended to help residents learn more about the candidates, their priorities and their plans for addressing key issues facing Manatee County.
Candidates running for the District 1 seat include Elizabeth Arnold, John Dunn, Michael Harrison, Sari Lindroos-Valimaki, Mark Stanoch, Leland Taylor and Adam Johnson, whose participation was listed as unconfirmed on the event announcement.
The District 2 forum will feature incumbent Amanda Ballard, Edward Bailey Jr. and Charles Smith.
Topics are expected to include growth and development, transportation, public safety, environmental protection, infrastructure, housing and fiscal management. The forum will provide candidates with an opportunity to discuss their qualifications and answer questions about issues important to county residents.
