Top Recruits Shine at Future 50 Showcase in Bradenton, Boosting Florida Gators' 2027 Hopes
The 2025 Under Armour All-America Future 50 wrapped up this weekend at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, bringing together the nation's top high school football prospects from the 2027 recruiting class. The elite showcase, considered one of the premier events for emerging talent, offered a high-stakes platform for rising stars to impress top college programs.
Among the standout performers were three major Florida Gators targets—Elijah Haven, Grant Haviland, and Zayden Gamble—all of whom recently attended the University of Florida’s “Grill in the Ville” recruiting event. Their exceptional showings in Bradenton were highlighted by Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman, who released his list of the top 10 performers from the event.
Elijah Haven, a five-star quarterback from Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, headlined the list. Already regarded as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2027 class by 247Sports, Haven’s 6-foot-5 frame and athleticism left scouts and coaches alike buzzing. His performance in Bradenton reaffirmed his status as a top-tier target for UF head coach Billy Napier.
Joining Haven on the list was tight end Grant Haviland from Milton High School in Georgia. Ranked as the No. 6 player in his state and third-best at his position nationally, the 6-foot-5 pass-catcher displayed impressive route running and chemistry with Haven, including a highlight-reel touchdown reception during the event.
Florida native Zayden Gamble, a four-star safety from powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, also made waves. Known for his coverage skills and physical play, Gamble showcased versatility and tenacity in one-on-one matchups, bolstering his national ranking as the 11th-best safety in the class.
For Napier and the Gators, the Future 50 weekend was more than just a scouting opportunity—it was a momentum builder. With commitments for the 2027 class still taking shape, the performances in Bradenton served as a strong signal that Florida remains in serious contention for some of the nation’s most elite talent.
