Dog owners and aspiring canine professionals in the Bradenton area now have a new opportunity to pursue professional dog trainer education close to home.
Julie Madison, owner of Top Tier K9 – Bradenton, is now offering dog trainer certification programs through the Top Tier K9 Academy for Dog Trainers, bringing a comprehensive hybrid education and hands-on training opportunity to the Bradenton community.
The program is designed for individuals who want to become professional dog trainers, as well as existing trainers looking to expand their skills, services, and professional credentials. Students complete seven weeks of online education followed by one week of in-person training at the Bradenton facility, combining flexible online learning with practical, hands-on experience.
The Top Tier K9 Academy curriculum covers a broad range of professional dog-training disciplines, including pet training, advanced obedience, scent detection, tracking, protection, behavior and handling, and multiple certification pathways. Students also receive education in areas such as business development, sales, marketing, project management, and the practical skills necessary to build a sustainable dog-training career.

Madison brings more than 20 years of experience working with dogs, including rescue rehabilitation, behavioral work, obedience training, shelter volunteering, adoption counseling, and professional dog training. Her experience also includes working with dogs with challenges such as intense leash reactivity, resource guarding, housebreaking issues, and behavioral concerns.
Her background extends beyond dog training. Madison has also spent years coaching competitive swimmers and managing teams, experiences that have strengthened her ability to teach, mentor, communicate, and develop individuals with different learning styles.
The Bradenton location provides students with an opportunity to learn directly from an experienced professional while gaining exposure to real-world applications of dog training. Top Tier K9 – Bradenton also provides pet and Foundation Dog® training and supports specialized canine services, including Police/Military K9, service dogs, executive and family protection dogs, search and rescue dogs, and other working-dog applications.
The certification program is particularly suited for high school and college students, individuals exploring a new career, aspiring professional trainers, and established trainers seeking additional education and certification.
